inov-8 designs are purely for offroad use. the concept is to let the foot work naturally. inov-8 does not try to control nature. they support the natural ability of the foot to adapt to uneven terrain. our feet have had thousands of years to evolve. what makes a shoe designer from a three year industrial design course think he can do better.
inov-8's
planar heel design is rounded and grips uneven
surfaces well. the soles use climbing shoe technology
to increase grip. the sole pattern has purpose and is
not some graphic artists notion. soles are created
for grip or endurance. the web that supports the fore
foot comes from under the sole and embraces your
forefoot. the front of the shoe is a little higher to
cradle the top of the foot when you are running
downhill so you don't lose your toe nails. and the
lacing system locks off. you don't have to stop every
ten minutes to readjust your shoes.
